1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Skalpel AI services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
2. Description of Service
Skalpel AI provides an AI traffic optimization layer including request routing, caching, compression, quality monitoring, and billing services for model API calls. The service acts as a proxy between your application code and model providers.
3. Account and Access
You must create a workspace to use the service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and workspace credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Data Handling
Skalpel processes requests in transit to apply optimization. We do not store prompt or response content beyond the request lifecycle unless you explicitly enable tracing retention. Cached content is scoped to your workspace and subject to configurable TTL.
5. Billing
Fees are charged according to the plan you select. Savings reported through the dashboard are categorized as verified, estimated, or provider-side and are never combined. All billing is auditable.
6. Availability
We target 99.9% monthly API availability for paid plans. This is not a guarantee of uptime. We will communicate planned maintenance in advance.
7. Limitation of Liability
Skalpel AI is provided as-is. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to changes in model output quality resulting from optimization.
